Skincare Made Simple…

I’ve often received compliments on my skin and I’m asked on a regular basis, what it is I do? Here goes…

        1. I use a warm/hot washcloth to remove makeup and cleanse my face with Olive Oil. Olive oil is packed with anti-aging antioxidants, including vitamin E, which accounts for the anti- aging benefit. Olive Oil has been a staple in my bathroom and to my skincare routine for many years now. Burt’s Bees cleansing cream with soap bark and chamomile is another favourite, which I’ve also used for years.

        3. Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion No.2, has been another staple of mine, which I’ve used for the last 30 years, this is one product I NEVER do without.  Another Clinique product I’ve used for years is the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I’ve used other moisturizers but I always come back to this one.  Over the last few years I’ve turned to the cream formula, which is richer and more suitable for my combination skin which has now become slightly dryer.

        5. For nighttime, after cleansing, I love to use Boots Botanics Facial Oil {available at Target}. This oil is amazing!! The scent of rose-hip oil is exquisite and I feel it helps me to sleep. This oil is non-greasy and does not clog your pores. My skin is definitely smoother due to using this product over the last 6 months. It’s also my go to for my non make up days, it gives you a dewy and fresh all natural glow.

Read ‘Lana Says…‘ in the sidebar for more details on using olive oil on your skin.

P.s. If you’re looking for something decadent try the olive oil with gold flakes in the main image, available at Neiman Marcus… It’s on sale!

Thank you so much for sharing. I will try out the olive oil as a cleanser. I have tried clinique before, I don’t think it’s the one you’re using though. I will give yours a trial

Thanks for this post. I have very oily skin, and I read that I should use oil to cleanse my skin. I thought it was odd at first, but it makes sense!
I will try the olive oil, and also the product from Target. Clinique has always been one of my favorite products!
I will let you know how I like it in a few weeks!

What do you think?
