Vintage baskets! I love most things vintage; especially vintage handbags. I have quite a nice collection, which all started with my mother’s patent leather handbag which is older than me! It was the first thing my mother purchased when she arrived in London, England from Jamaica in 1962.
Every time I go home to London, Portobello Road market is a must stop to rummage around the stalls and find that perfect crocodile or leather handbag from the 1950’s-60. I snagged this beauty a couple of days ago at PollySues, which is one of my favourite thrift/consignment stores in Takoma Park, DC. I’ve decided this basket will be my go to, paired with flowy summer dresses, off the shoulder tops teamed with cotton or linen cigarette pants and flats.
